Laus Deo

I felt like I should explain the title of our blog. "Laus Deo" means "Praise God". This was the motto on the original Hord family coat of arms (circ. 1700). In preparation for a first night celebration 2 1/2 years ago, Steven and I created our own family coat of arms and chose this as our family motto. It sets the ideal for how we want to live our lives and where we want our family to be focused. And I feel it encapsulates our gratitude to God for all that we have and are. Hence, I thought it fitting that our should carry the same epitaph.
